1. I was very impressed with his explanation last night. I think he did a good job
disproving the charge that he's a sexist.

3. You mean those ''Aha! An opening to bash a liberal! To the keybord!'' moments?
Yeah. Happens too often.

5. Not sure what you mean. Equality is a Lib concept, but it does not grant

groups-needing-equality freedom from criticism. Like when Poppy initiated his strategy of nominating token minority members (Clarence) as a way to short circuit Dem opposition. Back then it worked to flummox the Dems, like, how do we oppose a (insert minority here).

It became clear when Orrin HATCH put on his Shirley TEMPLE pout in defending "Mee-gwell" ESTRADA as their guy, when he pouted, "How can Dems OPPOSE this man?! Dems supposedly support MINORITIES." IOW, we were supposed to support him BASED ON HIS RACE/ETHNICITY, blindly, and this IS RACIST. The obvious solution to defeat the Poppy Strategy, unapologetically and straightforwardly, is: Forget about calling the tokens TOKENS or puppets or houseboys, and just say, "This person says he is a Wingnut and we take him at FACE VALUE as a Wingnut, as we therefore oppose him for being a Wingnut." Simple as that.

Similarly to Orrin, Ruben NAVARRETTE the horrible non-representative-Hispanic, is a notorious Wingnut asskisser who lectures and bashes Dems, and he glorified Shrub for picking HIS Hispanic token, Alberto GONZALES and NAVARRETTE claimed that all Hispanics should love Shrub for picking this Hispanic. That's racism. And, just being even here, it smacked to me of racism that Oprah WINFREY and especially Colin POWELL endorsed Barack OBAMA, when especially POWELL had never crossed over before.

If a Dem politician breaks laws or commits whatever offense, and happens to be a minority group member, he doesn't get defended by me on account of whatever his group is OR because he's a Dem. I hero-worshipped Charlie RANGEL for decades. I might compartmentalize things and say, he did this and that wrong and I still like him for this other and that other. It's easier when the scoundrel has NO redeeming qualities, like the Louisiana congress critter with the cash in the freezer.

So I don't get the "opening to bash a Liberal" part. At the WELLSTONE funeral, the young Libs over-reached and their behavior got blow-back. Being a Lib or whatever on "my" side is not a carte blanche for anything, either.

4. Unmarried males
past the age of 35 or so are often assumed to be sexists and/or child molesters and/or drug dealers and/or communists and/or some other kind of criminals. I suppose the idea that all "normal and good" people get married comes from the Bible or something. I never bought into the claim that Maher is sexist.
