wrong, and solutions that would really help. Yet 300 million victims of about 10 percent of their neighbors continue down the path of being turned into the equivalent of certificates of deposit, only worthwhile for the interest they pay on debt. The policies that traditionally invested in the lives of those who create demand, the truths which stood as a barrier in front of the most vulnerable, have lost popularity in favor of those that create a conduit for a pipeline of money to the most wealthy. As Jack McCoy said "...the Devil's in".
At least we have good reading material on the ride down.
Thank you for this.

11. Good to see you around. |

I'm a little more optimistic than you, maybe. I see progress being made in terms of developing a popular understanding of how money works. More people seem open to the idea that the government exists, not as a parasitic entity, but as a means to further the prosperity of the private sector. It will be hard to break down the walls that were built up during 30 years of institutionalized neo-classical thinking, but inroads have definitely been made. People used to react to me as if I were a crazy person. Now there is a small army fighting to get these ideas out. What Mosler wrote a couple of months ago was exactly right. We are the last progressives left standing, but we are standing strong.

12. I have noticed the growing understanding, at least here. |

I don't post too much, too many time-wasting arguments filling up the space, more important things to do.
What I think, however, is that too many in this country have become so dependent on others, on some authority that maps out their journey, that they don't realize the need to regain control. They have ceded all the responsibility, a prescription for disaster. If the jobs aren't out there for them, they walk around in a daze, not realizing that they could change it at any time. There are 10 times as many of us as those who are profiting from our debt, keeping us indebted, yet we continue to let it happen. We need to remake ourselves.
Problem is, the Phoenix can't rise from the ashes unless it is burned in the fire. TPTB aren't going to start it, however, because they are profiting from the last bits of life in the current incarnation. We haven't figure out yet that it will take a lot of us, together, to build the fire. And we haven't even started gathering the wood yet, not really.
Thank you again.
