"Job creators"
What a bogus, bumfuck, right wing term. Yet there it is, in the public lexicon.

Who are these "job creators?" They would love for you to think it is some Mom and Pop business ready to hire a new technician. Hopefully we all know that's a bogus picture. That is NOT who the people who use the term "job creator" are really concerned about.

Just more molding of our brains brought to you by right wing media.

4. A Term That I Find Repugnant...
That talking point makes my skin crawl as I know how disengenuous the rushpublicans are in using it. They try to bullshit that it refers to the "small businessman" who somehow makes only 200k a year but still needs tax breaks on corporate jets. The ugly truth is the "small business" they refer to are multinationals that have gamed the system and are using all their money and influence to keep those perk at all costs.

Of course they ignore the real job creation that full employment and a robust consumer economy can and have created. The reason companies aren't hiring isn't because of paying too much in taxes or health insurance, it's cause consumer demand is low...people are putting money in their gas tanks as well as the collapse of consumer credit. People are only buying the necessities these days and will continue to do so as long as there aren't jobs and there won't be jobs cause there isn't a demand. The real job creators are all of us who buy the products...not the rushpublican billionaires living off corporate welfare.

5. Another awkward Republican label
Homeland, evildoers, first responders, and now job creators. It's propaganda pure and simple. The catchy phrase planted in people's heads in lieu of actual critical thinking.

6. And Ayn Rand concept
Except that if it truly works they way the right contends, then we wouldn't have a problem now - the Bush tax cuts would have driven down unemployment.

Even my mother, who has Alzheimer's, is one as she needs daily care.

When we job creators run out of money, the jobs go away.

12. And if it were true...
America would be swimming in jobs from the 2 Bush tax cuts and their extensions.

That meme makes me mad enough to spit nails. Their argument is totally refuted by the last 10 years of history - we're living it right now and have been living it for 10 years, and they really expect us to believe that tripe? What's worse is that there actually are people in America who believe these things when they say them!

14. They ARE job creators. Their America is not OUR America
"they" argue that they have created millions of jobs! (overseas)
they are retoolling factories (in "right-to-work" states) and positioning themselves to compete in the global economy.

That is like when republicans refer to the "American people"...they are referring to roughly 4-million wealthy people and mega corporations out of 300 million Americans and true small business owners.

you and I do not count in their arguements. Their American economy is excellent, their job markets are just fine.

Small business to them are Koch Industries, Xe, BP ( who a FUCKING Republican apologized to because Obama said BP was being held responsible for the Gulf spill), Bank of America, etc...THEIR America is just peachy.

22. Again, THEY do not see this as a problem! THEY are rich and
becoming richer because they can outsource, they can have slave labor in other countries.
Why do you think Republicans are trying to roll-back child-labor laws? These rich fuckers want to kill children in mining accidents again! They do not care. Why do you think we have "right to work" states? they do not care. they have the power, they control congress and you and I (and our opinions) simply do not count. period.

19. "Job creators" are folks with money in their pockets wanting/needing to buy stuff.
Demand for goods/services creates jobs.

21. I HEAR You!
I wish the Democratic Party leadership could hear you too.

They woulda/coulda/shoulda driven a stake through this evil myth's heart
the first time it reared its evil Frank-Luntz head in the Public Debate.
They STILL could, if they so desired.
YES! THEY! COULD!

IIRC, this very same LIE was part of the rationalization for the extension of the Bush Tax Cuts.
