Republicans rely on America's stupidity |
|
Wait for the massive repetition from the media and the Wingnuts on "needing a balanced budget amendment".
Wait for the repeated; "Americans overwhelmingly support a balanced budget amendment".
Wait for the Luntz focus-grouped media satuaration of "cut, cap and balance".
Can't wait for the commercials; "Hey Marge, don't you think the 'gubmint' ought to have to balance their budget like you and I?" "Why, of course Ray, I don't know why those evil liberals would vote against a balanced budget amendment"
I want to point out that I would be supportive of a Balanced Budget Amendment, if that meant that we set tax-rates on the top 5% to what they were under the Eisenhour Administration to achieve balance....but we know that's not what they mean. They want a balanced budget amendment that would only allow Congress to reduce spending.
No one...AND I MEAN NO ONE!...will ever ask, or demonstrate what we would have to do to balance our budget "without raising taxes".
Would someone please ask the Repukes what cuts would need to be made right now to achieve a balanced budget without an increase in revenue?

5. Ok, please share your millions with me |

Two words: Fox "news". There is your major answer for "American stupidity". I am of the opinion that maybe Americans aren't quite as stupid as many other Americans make them (us) out to be, but I suppose that we are all entitled to our own opinions.

3. Of course, BALANCE means balance btw IN and OUT! |
|
They're so good (NOT) at that!
Would mean same decisions they refuse to make won't be made in the future. They make it sound like a magic bullet. Magic, right, AT THEIR HEADS!
Yes, they rely on stupidity. Remember Rover targeted ill-informed/ill-educated to elect W.
