1. University Hospital is an excellent trauma hospital
Not only was it the closest one from where the shooting took place, but it really is a very good hospital, and is also in direct association with the UofA Med School here.

3. One of them may have operated on my friend's son
He had a traumatic brain injury and was taken to that hospital.. they thought he would die for sure, but he made it. He is seriously "altered", but he's alive.. His accident happened almost a year to the day that his dad had dropped dead of a heart attack (at age 46). My friend, his Mom, was so afraid she would lose her only son.. (She did in a way, since he is a very different person now, but you know what I mean).

He relearned to speak & can walk with a cane, but he lost his fiancee & his ability to ever live on his own..

5. Dr. LeMole is one of the best.
I know him and his family. He is related to Dr. Oz of Oprah fame. His father, Dr. Gerald M. LeMole is a top cardio-vascular/thoracic surgeon.

The congresswoman is in the best of hands.

8. Serendipity.... A higher power is conspiring against evil.
Not completely successful, or a child wouldn't have died, but it's enough.
