The Murdoch Scandal - What YOU can do...
Edited on Sun Jul-17-11 08:45 PM by ProfessionalLeftist
I am asking that you write to the major media outlets telling them you want them to cover this story!

Why? Because there is very little coverage here in the U.S. -- and there NEEDS to be.

Fox "News" has of course minimized the issue.

But it is Fox "News" which has virtually destroyed the ability of Americans to have a substantial, intelligent national conversation about any of the major issues facing this country today. It is the absolute lowest of tabloid propaganda. It is part and parcel of why this country is in the supreme mess it is in today.

Josef Goebbels himself couldn't have created a better propaganda machine than Fox "News".

The story is all over the British airwaves, Internet and newspapers. Yet it gets little play here in the United States. But YOU can change that.

As if this could have gotten any bigger - Scotland yard hired the News of the World Editor on the same very day he was arrested! This scandal is deep, insidious, incestuous and mark my words- reverberates globally.

Pass it on.

Fmr. Fox News Executive: Americans' Phones Were Hacked

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/07/17/995568/-Fmr-Fox-News-Executive:-Americans-Phones-Were-Hacked?via=siderec

...and ask them why they're not covering this, along with the remainder of this scandal and the insidious involvement of government and law enforcement (police, etc.) as well. If it's happened in the UK there is no doubt it has happened here. Why are they ignoring this?

I've groused to them about having to go to the guardian.co.uk, BBC, and Al Jazeera to get the story. Where is the U.S. media on it?

The FBI will be more likely to whitewash this thing if the public and the media is being quiet about it. If it's a huge story - and it IS a huge story - then it will make it more difficult for it to be ignored by the PTB.

4. Also use their news tips links if they have one....and submit the DailyKOS story
...about a former NewsCorp Exec who says that American's phones have been hacked. Give them the link:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/07/17/995568/-Fmr-Fox-News-Executive:-Americans-Phones-Were-Hacked?via=siderec

They OUGHT to be all over this!

Ask them why they are not covering this story more thoroughly. I've been on UK websites and AlJazeera all weekend to get the latest because US media isn't covering it. It's NOT "just a UK scandal" - if NewsCorp has been conducting criminal activity in the UK they are certainly doing so in the US as well - and likely with government (and possibly law enforcement) involvement.

Yea the debt ceiling story is big, but so is the Murdoch / NewsCorp story. ASK for coverage!
