No, I am not talking about England or the U.S.
That is the synopsis for Nineteen eighty-four by George Orwell.
See...the media has merged with the government. The media tells everyone what to think, how to think and what to like and dislike. The country is kept in a constant state of war and wartime rules and the person running the country is thought to be the leader but is really the conservative that is backed by the media.
Oh...OH. Maybe I am talking about Murdoch and the U.S./British problem.
Oh Shit...I think that was a thoughtcrime.
It's a good book, more important than ever, maybe. Give it a read.

Orwell was off by twenty five years but he was far more predictive then anything Nostradamus wrote.

2. It is kind of scary, eh Dave? Maybe Murdoch read it and thought it was a business blueprint? |

4. You know, sometimes I think murd-ER-och read it too, and... |

thought it was a great idea to 'risk' implementing it on a worldwide scale.
Wouldn't surprise me at all.
