1. I presume that they will be asked whether or not they have committed
crimes and that they will say "No". Then what?

5. I suspect a lot of "were you aware that so and so was doing x?" questions.
...to which the answer will likely also be "no" or "I don't know", but it sets up some intersting scenarios if any of the other players feel they're being thrown under the (double-decker) bus.

14. From my observation . . .
Parliament is a little more bare knuckle than the U.S. Congress, and the smarmy politesse that degrades so much of our political discourse goes away very quickly when a witness is trying to dodge questions. It could make for some very interesting viewing.

3. The Guardian has a list of questions it feels should be asked tomorrow. Interesting reading:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/blog/poll/2011/jul/18/questions-culture-select-committee-poll

I like these questions:

# How could a company which obstructs the police and misleads Parliament and regulators be considered a fit and proper company to run a media organisation?
Observer
# Do you agree that the actions of your company between the beginning of 2009 and the end of 2010 could be termed a cover-up?
Observer

( Observer is a newspaper asking the questions)

7. More interesting than what Murdoch and Brooks say...
...is likely to be what the MP's say. I expect the Tory members are going to want to show their independence from News Corp, and the Labour members are going to want to tie them together.

13. It looks like C-SPAN 2 will be covering it also! 3 earlier witnesses..Stephenson, Fedorcio & Yates..
Gotta get up early. This will be Paul Stephenson, Dick Fedorcio and John Yates. Hmmm...why isn't C-SPAN covering Murdoch and Brooks? The 2 most important people in this?
