2. yes, its so hard for those of
us who live outside of the US, for myself to even view Keith Olberman on Current TV, everytime this thing comes up on justin.tv. to subscribe. I eventually go to You Tube to watch.

5. To be fair, it's not Hulu's fault
At least I don't think it is. It's a matter of licensing by the owners of the tv shows, movies, etc.

I wanted to buy an book from Audible that was on its UK site. I couldn't do this using my US account because the publisher of the book didn't license Audible to sell the audio version of the book in the US. (I don't know whether I could have done this had I purchased credits on the UK site.)

Regarding US viewers being unable to watch foreign TV content, I read somewhere that a) it eats up bandwidth and b) the advertiser gain no benefit. I imagine the same arguments apply to your being unable to watch Hulu in Europe (in addition to the licensing issues).

I gather there are workarounds using proxies, but I'm hesitant to make these changes to my computer.

It is remarkable that in a world where capital and labor flows seamlessly across borders, we can't seem to watch Sea Patrol in the US or US programming in Europe.
