Bush Tax Cuts Redux
If you remember back to the "debate" on the renewal of the B*sh tax cuts, I like many of my Progressive comrades expected our Democratic leadership to seize the day and let them expire. All our work was finally going to pay off for positive change. In essence, it was a gimme. We vote for change and were expecting it.

After the so called heated debates behind closed doors, out comes Obama and the Republican Senate Leadership with an extension to the B*sh tax cuts. They were in complete agreement, much to the complete disgust of the House Democrats. Our only representatives doing the right thing. This put the House Democrats by themselves against this extension. If they didn't vote to approve it as well, they would be the ones responsible for taxes being raised on nearly everyone. They'd been beaten by the WH and the GOP Senators.

Now we come to the end of the debt ceiling talks. Not long from now we can expect the same. Obama and McConnell will walk out of their meetings and say, "This is all we can do. It is just too difficult for either side to get what they want". They will have an agreement that will not cut military spending, not end the wars, not protect social programs at home and not do anything positive for the Middle Class. It will protect and expand the power an influence of the Upper Class. This will be opposed by the House Dem's as completely unacceptable and again they will be the ones standing between the horrible McConnell/Obama plan and the United States defaulting on its debt. In other words they will be beaten by the WH and the GOP Senators again.

Of course the House Dem's will still have Health Insurance, still have their six figure jobs, and still have basically everything they did the day before. So the ones who will take the real beating is of course us, again.
