Journo: If 9/11 victims were hacked, ‘Fox News is finished’
Source: RawReplay
By Stephen C. Webster

In a recent interview with Russia Today, Afshin Rattansi, a Middle Eastern affairs journalist who’s appeared on the BBC, CNN and Bloomberg, said that he believes “Fox News is finished” if U.S. authorities can prove that News Corporation employees attempted to hack into the voicemails of terror attack victims killed on Sept. 11, 2001.

“The Democrats have nothing much to do, but they all hate one influential cable channel: Fox News,” he said. “I’m hearing, if the 9/11 victims have been hacked by subsidiaries of News Corp., then Fox News is finished.”

This video is from Russia Today, broadcast Sunday, July 17, 2011

2. Nope...
Never going to happen.

For anything to happen to Fox News in the US, it would require anyone at any level of government with even a minute amount of power to go after them.

They won't. Republicans obviously won't. And despite some huffing and puffing, Democrats won't either because they're too afraid of Republicans calling them partisan.

5. Wishful thinking, but it won't happen
This wont change the opinion of any Fox News viewers. The people that watch Fox News do so because they want their news presented from a Republican perspective. There isn't any other channel that provides the type of material that they do. Where are these people going to go? MSNBC? Of course not. CNN is getting better, but Fox News built their empire as the anti-Clinton News Network. People that watch Fox still think CNN is like they were in the 90s.

Face it, Fox News isn't going anywhere. They have a nice group of dedicated followers that would still watch them even if it came out that Rupert's father was Hitler. It doesn't matter.

6. All it will take is one rat jumping ship
for others to follow. I don't believe there are that many loyal followers of Fox (Unless they receive millions of dollars).

9. If you don't think
that there are that many loyal followers of Fox, then you certainly don't live in Nebraska.

Remember Johnny Carson's Floyd R. Turbo?

Well, Johnny was from Nebraska, you know? He had ample inspiration for Floyd R. Turbo. Typical Fox News viewer, I'd say.

I just about can't go to Applebee's because most of the big screen TVs out there are turned to Fox News. I almost gag on my food.

10. Thanks for that Johnny Carson skit. I had forgotten
all about that. Certainly it is appropriate these days. Had a very good laugh over that. No laugh over Fox though. I see what you mean.

8. I know a few news people who started out at FOX. They hated it but...
there are always plenty of openings and the comparable pay and benefits are much better than any other "news corporation". They slog through a few years and jump to MSNBC, NBC or CNN as soon as they can. There are plenty of ex FOX employees who would love to stick it to them if they could do it safely and there is safety in numbers.

I predict a wave of information coming out as the investigation continues. There are a lot of liberals in that business who have worked for Fox have been waiting for this moment.
