Wall Street Journal defends News Corp.
Edited on Mon Jul-18-11 12:47 PM by Derechos
When News Corp. and CEO Rupert Murdoch secured enough shares to buy Dow Jones & Co. four years ago, these columns welcomed our new owner and promised to stand by the same standards and principles we always had. That promise is worth repeating now that politicians and our competitors are using the phone-hacking years ago at a British corner of News Corp. to assail the Journal, and perhaps injure press freedom in general.

1. Steve Doocy agrees with them!
He said they already apologized so everyone should be quiet about it.

4. press freedom?
They think the press has the freedom to hack people's phones?

The government has given the government the right to hack people's phones.
But the press is not the government. Some press act like they are, but they are not.

5. Now there's a shocker!
Who could have predicted that one branch of the Nooze Corpse would defend another?

6. And this article is a prime example of just what everyone said Murdock would do.

Zero credibility "same standards and principles we always had". They're a joke. Do they really think WSJ readers are as moronic as FOX news watchers?

7. Why is this surprising? A dog knows his master (no offense to dogs).
Rupert probably wrote that piece of shit himself. It's excessively aggrieved, for starters, and has a distinct "circle the wagons/us-against-them" POV.

Fuck them--they were always assholes before NEWSCORP acquired them, and they became greater assholes after the sale.

The reason people don't wipe their asses with the WSJ is because it will soil their behinds!
