Owl leaves spooky imprint on house window (ghost owl? Pretty weird)
Owl leaves spooky imprint on house window

An English woman returned to her Cumbria home recently to find a spooky image left on her window.

Sally Arnold discovered a perfect white imprint of an owl in her Kendal home, complete with eyes, a beak and feathers, BBC reports.

The silhouette was left by a substance that protects the bird's growing feathers, called "powder down".

Mrs Arnold said she was concerned about the welfare of the bird so immediately started looking in her garden but could find no sign of it.

12. Indeed, hopefully they were at least slowing down (as evidenced by the...
...outspread wings) and weren't harmed too much.

2. My sister-in-law walked into my sliding glass door one time & left a makeup residue impression of
her face. Pretty funny. (She wasn't hurt, only embarrassed.)

3. Good thing she is not Lakota
Owls are a sign of death for them. When I was working at a hospital on the rez an RN was so shaken that she had to go home. She had an owl siting on her fence post while driving out, saw another by the side of the road, and when getting out of the car there was another on the roof of the hospital.

The picture above would have given her a stroke.

4. She could not find it because it rose from the dead. That is clearly the Window of Turin

for the Jesus Guardian Owl.

6. A friend told me about a truck driver who hit an owl and put it in the cab of the truck

He ended up with a Tommy Boy dead Deer situation, only with the owl! It tore the cab of the truck to pieces and the guy had to get the hell out!

7. I had this happen once with a pigeon that flew into a picture window.
It left a pigeon-shaped impression behind, although not as clear as that one.

9. I lived in a condo in the 80s that had birch doors.
On the back of the bathroom door in the dark grain of the wood was an amazing likeness of Christ on the cross. I shoulda sold tickets.

16. when I had a home, I often had to go out and "save" whatever
just thumped the big picture window. I tried everything but they keep thinking they can fly into the reflected image. Owls, quail, finch, mourning doves, it was one of the not great things about the house, loved the window, but I guess not a good idea.
