1. What's the AARP up to now? |
|
More damage control after coming out in support of betraying Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries?

6. Is that the same AARP guy who supported Medicare Part D? |
|
Maybe somebody should silence him so that people don't start to think that AARP is an insurance company.

7. First off, there is no link. |

At least none that I am aware of. I answered the phone and they said it was a Townhall meeting via conference call with Sen. Warner, sponsored by the AARP. You could punch star 3 to get in line to ask a question. I did that, but somehow was knocked off the call before my turn came up. They also did a poll of callers which wasn't finished yet. But after a thougand votes, 66% of people wanted a balanced approach to the debt problem - raise revenues and cut expenses. Most of the people I heard were very disgusted about the discussions about cutting SS or medicare. Warner did say he thought raising the cap on SS should be a consideration. But, he also said that everything had to be on the table. The questions I heard were excellent, and at times seemed to surprise Warner. I wish I could have finished the conference, but I got kicked off for some reason unknown to me.
