1. the man micromanaged everything and knew everything about everyone who worked for him.
i seriously doubt he didn't know what was going on in this case. that is bs. he may have been smart enough to keep himself at arms length enough for plausible deniability to prove it, but he's involved.

8. i don't doubt that he kept something or someone in between him and the actions
to protect himself. that doesn't mean he wasn't directly involved. the idea though that he would let his own kid take the fall would be disgusting when he is old and his kid is young with his whole life ahead of him. truthfully they deserve to rot for everything they have done.... but what kind of person first of all puts their kid in that and then would let them take the fall.... so glad i am 1)not rich and 2)not in THAT family!

9. Sorry to disagree but I think Rupert thought that he ....
.... had so many people bought off and or scared that he and his son could do anything they wanted to do in the U.K..

Right now Rupert is having his Nicolae Ceaușescu moment ..... Nicolae Ceaușescu was the communist leader of Romania until he
tried to speak to a crowd in Timișoara and had to flee as the crowd turned against him.

Just my thoughts

7. Yeah, I run a corporation and am a majority shareholder
But I have no idea where millions of dollars are going yearly (in bribes). Uh, tell that one to someone who believes that babies are delivered by storks and that Jesus rode a dinosaur.

I was born at night, but it wasn't last night.

12. Piers has the same lack of integrity that Murdoch suffers from.
Both are tabloid journalists/propagandists.

17. Yeah and what does Piers know? Loose lips sink ships.
I hope all the ratfucker clusterfuck of evil goes to jail...no fall man or woman, all of them. Take Foxnews too, I bet all the main players have hours of illegal activity that they shared the joy in listening in to grandmaw and grandpaw talk about little jimmy's tangle with poison ivy. What do they know about the POTUS or the MIC big wigs? What do they know about corporate america or main street John and Jane Doe? Fuck, if the FBI had any shred of dignity left they would be out their supertaskforcing it to find out how many secrets these fuckstains sold to our enemies. Of course that would require years of unbrainwashing and it seems the Justice Department just doesn't give a flying fuck.

Oh wait...just heard they do care...ruh roh.

19. Pier Morgan, wrote a book that mentions how to hack into people's phones!
Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 06:22 AM by BNJMN
Apparently this goes back to the mid 90's. Piers was an editor of the News, (the newspaper in question) then right?
I have no doubt it's common in the US as well. Watch the faces of the talking heads when the conversation gets too close to home.

I see the way every anchor gets either very quiet or very, very offended.
Like, unreasonably offended. When this comes up about the same practices happening in the US.
