She translated a book called the "Age of Wikileaks". She produces at a community, grass-roots radio station in Boulder (KGNU).

My tinfoil hat is coming on strong.

Here is some of her writing:

1. Well, I love what she did. Seems like the kind of political
activism and civil disobedience that works. Not sure I would do it, but good for her. If they feel they can maul strange people, and we have elected officials who think groping children and elderly people is acceptable to sell a product, it's outrageous and requires equally outrageous behavior to counter it sometimes.

I will check out the links, thank you.

6. Just my speculation, but...
I know she was travelling several times per week to a translation project in Phoenix so she took the same route over and over and over and was likely known to the same TSA agents.

It seems possible to me that she was given extra scrutiny because of her translations and public profile as a lefty.

She probably was getting harassed -that's what I think.

After it got personal on the TSA side, she probably got pushed over the edge.

But I think it is likely that she was targeted and singled out with VERY over-the-top searches.

Japanese women don't freak out that easily in general and Japanese people are some of the most authority compliant people on the Earth.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I would be a lot of money that the TSA agents were considerably out of line in their treatment of her.
