She was shot before she tried to keep the shooter from reloading. Wow - brave woman.

Right wingers will doubtless say otherwise. One commenter on a yahoo news post made the statement "He (the shooter) is a hero."
I used to live in an area where lots of folks thought Tim McVeigh was a hero, and the dead children were "collateral damage".
To hell with all of them!
Oh, and peace.

The possession of the "magazine" he used is illegal. It holds at least 20 bullets whereas most magazines hold a maximum of 8 bullets.
I wonder how many rounds was this guy was planning to reload? Where did he get this illegal magazine and who sold it to him? If he was planning to reload, how many people did he really plan to kill? I don't buy "just one", nope!
How many damned bullets did he have on himself anyway? :wtf:

14. Just to help with clarity: there are no round limits for magazines in AZ |
|
In a few other states, yes, but not in AZ or most other states.

12. I support classes in self-defense that teach what to do in the event of a nut with a gun |
|
After all, not all of us are inclined to be concealed-carry 'heroes,' yunno. In fact, I can envision a real clusterfuck in the event that numerous people whipping out their weapons after the gunfire begins - even before the police arrive.
I won't go into specifics in this post, but in the event you ever find yourself staring down the barrel of a gun, it is in your best interest to wrest control of that weapon by any means necessary. Any means necessary. Your chances of survival rise exponentially, compared to obesiance to the assailant. CCW 'heroes' would do well to remember that evildoers can know these disarming techniques as well; for example, up to 75% of LEOs who are shot in the line of duty are shot with their own weapons.

15. You see the best and worst of humanity in this incident. |
|
The crazed shooter--clearly the worst of humanity.
The fast thinking citizens who tackled and disarmed him as well as the intern and the doctor and other people who rushed to the aid of the wounded--the best of humanity.

20. After reading all the stuff written about the shooter |
|
Yes, I can believe it.
I know most people are saying he was psychotic, mentally ill, unbalanced etc but the impression I got from his YouTube rants and other sources was he was totally full of himself. His writings conveyed that he though he was so fucking superior that he could do anything.
So yep, with a total, unremitting focus on his own self, of course he would worry about his sore arm.
