How about having Congress cut their own salaries by even 5%?

Or we could cut them by 25%, and tell them they could accept bribes, only they would have to make it public as to who gave them the bribes?

Either way, we could weed out the nasty bastards easily enough, and show them what it's like to live on a lot less than what they're currently making.

combine this with SERIOUS, EXCLUSIVELY public campaign financing and that would reduce the incentive to accept bribes, which are taken in exchange for huge amounts of wasteful spending and stupid tax loopholes that impoverish the treasury.
