Daily Show: Politicians only able to raise ‘bullsh*t ceiling’

By David Edwards

Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart thinks the reason so many Republicans won’t work with President Barack Obama isn’t because he’s black, it’s because has an “obsession” with raising taxes.

“He is obsessed,” Stewart noted. “That explains Obama’s new cologne, ‘Taxes by Calvin Klein.’”

Stewart observed that another odd thing about the GOP: “Republicans are no longer allowed to say that people are rich, you have to refer to them as ‘job creators.’ You can’t even use the word ‘rich’ — you have to say ‘This chocolate cake is so moist and job creator. My favorite comic book is Job Creator-ie Job Creator.’”

Comedy Central’s Jason Jones later reported that while the U.S. could default if the debt ceiling is not raised, so far politicians have only been able to raise the “bullshit ceiling.”

“The national bullshit ceiling — or to put it in laymen’s terms, the amount of bullshit people are willing to take — has slowly been creeping up,” Jones told Stewart.
