Why do we always have to be on the tail end of the new phrases when avoiding telling the truth?
Is America behind the times in responses to questions?
With our political people on it night and day and the rich history we have with smarmy, lying, evil toads, we are falling behind.
Let's get behind our politicians and support new and creative ways to be a liar.

1. I recall well when I was young the US seemed to sometimes be ahead of the |

curve and back then D's and R's tended to work together, and religion was also not in the middle of every damn thing. It was not perfect, and certainly not for everyone, but the future and success of the country appeared to be a priority.
Now, we seem never to be proactive, out to screw everyone for profit and frankly rather unpleasant. Everything is coached in us vs. them. IMO I blame most of this on Reagan in the 80's, trickle down voodoo economics, the expanding MIC that has to be at war all of the time for profit, run away capitalism and an emphasis on cheating and lying. There's a whole litany of things here we all know, so I won't repeat them. Bottom line, the US will be an absolute failure in the 21st century unless this crap is gotten under control.
