Gabby story: In 2007, My father first met Gabby face to face

It was at a town hall over health insurance in Vail, Arizona.

Afterwords, my father pulled Gabby aside and showed her something interesting. He showed her how difficult it was for a person to buy health insurance for themselves, but how easy it was for that same person to buy health insurance for their dog.

Gabby looks shocked, amazed and disgusted. They spent almost thirty minutes speaking. At the end, Gabby asked my father for the paperwork so she could show people in Congress. She called him earlier this year and told him that her vote for Health Care reform was because of my father's talk with her.

They have worked on tax policy and financial policy together. My mother had a problem getting her passport from the State Department due to her adoption. Gabby took care of it in two days. My father's passport was held up by the DHS when we mailed it back to him from Hong Kong. . .Gabby got it released in less than 24 hours.

2. Wow. What amazes me is how can a member of Congress vote on

healthcare legislation and not know how difficult it is to get health insurance? What do their huge staffs do for them if not research such things?
