Here's something that will be a help for the economy: Restore full funding to the EEOC
There seems to be an epidemic of stupid running around in this nation's hiring practices:

Discrimination against the unemployed for being unemployed
Usage of credit scores being used in jobs that don't involve handling money or security
Tea Partiers like Rand Paul saying that people should ignore little things like the 1964 Civil Rights Act

If only there was something that could fight against these problems creating vicious cycles, trapping people in unemployment and poverty, and obviously causing more and more damage to the economy.

Oh wait, there is, it's known as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), frequently investigates and sanctions employers who discriminate against employees and applicants.

There is a problem though, while it has generally avoided the wrath of the Tea Party, it has had cuts to funding and staff, and there have been a couple disastrous privatization attempts. It now has a growing backlog, and the trouble making employers who the EEOC needs to fight against are going unpunished.

Can our economy recover if discriminating employers are allowed to abuse the system and can our economy recover when more and more jobless people are trapped in vicious cycles of poverty and unemployment? It's not possible, that's why the EEOC needs to be restored.
