1. It's a difficult choice
because without choice, both will kill you (if you are a woman).

2. Choice to be able to open my own bar and associate with fellow smokers - it's all about freedom,
some just will never understand it is principle.

5. I wish you could. I don't smoke, but bars without smoke are stupid. nt

Meh, I usually don't go to bars anyway. Just seems stupid not to be able to there
Besides, the one I go to about once every 8 months lets you smoke any and snubbs the law.

10. As a smoker
I really don't mind the smoking ban in bars. I do think, though, it should be left up to the owner.

9. LOL and agree!
Freedom is good.

Many of the problems people are woorying about are caused by human overpopulation not what we eat. In many areas of the world there are simply too many humans for the environment. We've overrun our habitats no matter if we eat meat or whether we're fed grains like cattle in holding pens! :7

My partner and I have only had kitteh babies! When i was young I knew what the world would face from overpopulation and chose not to contribute to the problem.

22. Actually, in countries with high standards of living & reproductive freedom/access to contraception
it's been working out just fine. The so-called "Population Problem" doesn't exist where people are doing reasonably well and can run their own lives. Birth rates self-limit on their own.

19. A bar is a state licensed and regulated business.
No one is stopping you from filling your house with smokers and getting drunk with them. You just can't operate it as a business.

20. I want to be able to get an abortion inside a bar, and eat a cheeseburger inside a NASA clean room
because any limitation whatsoever on WHERE I can do something is the EXACT SAME THING as saying I can't do it at all. :eyes:

3. Reproductive choice has to take first place, but ...
why should I accept lack of choice in other areas?

4. You shouldn't because it is not situational, it is principle
Freedom - to associate with whom you wish, and freedom over your own body and choices.

I support freedoms :)

6. The thread in the link concerns over population and meat eating.
I thought those were two interesting things to compare, so I made a poll.

7. They go hand in hand.
An increase/decrease of one will affect the other. We can control one but not the other.

14. I had to answer "personally"
I'm not breeding anymore, so reproductive choice doesn't matter.

Now, if you're talking about freedom for the general public, I'd change my answer to reproductive choice.

21. I think people should have the final, ultimate authority over their own bodies.
My body, my business. That applies to reproductive rights, that applies to what people eat, that applies to the idiotic drug war, the right to a pain-free exit for the terminally ill if they so choose, that applies to everything.
