How About An Elizabeth Warren Pre-Senatorial Announcement Money Pledge |
|
Maybe we can coordinate with other Progressive websites and put together a pre-announcenment money pledge for Elizabeth Warren if she decides to run for the U.S. Senate against Scott Brown. Then, when she announces, we all contribute what we pledged within the hour of her announcement.
Why do this?
One, if she raises a ton of money within one hour of announcing, then it will definitely get headlines and people talking about her which would be a great thing.
Two, it sends a message loud and clear that Progressives are a force in American politics.
Three, if we show her that she can raise a lot of money in a hurry, then maybe it will motivate her to run.
Four, she will need every dollar to defeat Scott Brown who will be backed to the hilt by Karl Rove's Koch brothers money.
I think that we should think about doing this.
p.s. I have moved past the fact that she's not going to be the Consumer Affairs head. Now, I want her to be the U.S. Senator from Mass. So, with all due respect, I don't want this thread to become carping back and forth about what Obama did or is not doing. Please don't hijack it.
This is not about Obama. This is about electing a true Progressive heroine to the U.S. Senate in 2012, and who knows where else in 2016.

1. I'd "bundle" my entire 2012 contribution into one for Elizabeth Warren..... |
