A tax increase the rethugs should be thankful for
I'm sick and tired of listening to these rethugs whining and moaning about the tax increase that President Obama is trying to put into place in the debt ceiling increase deal. They should be thankful for this increase since, using their logic, it will help put more money into private enterprise, and help get us back on our feet again. If it does not work, we can lay the blame solely at the feet of their entire theory on tax revenue. Before you call me crazy, let me explain. I think President Obama understands this as well, and among other reasons, why I think he wants to push this little increase into place.

According to the rethugs:

Lower taxes = more incoming revenue to the government

Higher taxes = less incoming revenue to the government

By increasing taxes, the government will be taking in less in taxes. This means more money is left in the private sector, where the rethugs say it is much needed to spur growth.

If it doesn't work, then the rethug's whole tax revenue theory falls to pieces. :headbang:

3. Yes
Hello and thanks, The Magistrate. I am trying to use their own sorry logic against them. My screed was a little confusing- I tried to boil it down as best I could. If it doesn't work in the end we still got to tax those who can afford it, and hang the rethug's logic on tax revenue out to dry.

Trying to twist my brain into knots understanding any rethug logic give me a headache. I need an aspirin.

4. Isn't their argument
that the more taxes taken out of the paycheck equals LESS money to spend in the public sector?

7. Actually they claim both.

Part of the circle jerk that is the Republican party.

Higher taxes on the rich = less money to government because the rich apparently hate America and will refuse to invest in America (and hopefully hold their breath until they turn blue) until they get their candybar, er I mean taxcuts. By implication this means MORE money would be available in the private sector but since the rich, according the Republicans, are selfish little fucks it will just sit there and do diddly instead.

Lower Taxes on the rich supposedly equals more money to government, but since the Republicans claim they want to cut the food that feeds the monster it's clear this claim is just a fat ass lie. Though I do believe the claim the rich fucks would rather sit on it than share with the 95% of Americans who actually created the wealth in the first place.

Now on PAYCHECK taxes. Higher taxes would mean less money in the economy because nearly everyone who's income is on a paycheck spends every penny they get paid and then some.

Which is why the Democrats want to lower taxes on the paycheck folks and raise taxes on the investor folks.

8. If Lower taxes Mean More Revenue, Sir, Higher taxes Must Mean Less Revenue
Less revenue must mean more remains in the private sector, hence, higher taxes mean more money in the private sector, lower taxes mean less money in the private sector. as they say, garbage in, garbage out....

5. I heard ladies at work whining about how music or something was cut out at school.
Being new, I had to bite my tongue.

You elect assholes, you get what you wished for.

6. LOL
Never thought of it that way.

If the Teabaggers wanted to choke off the money supply to government they would demand a 100% tax rate on the rich with no deductions whatsoever. That would absolutely kill off government period according to Republican speak.

LOL

And welcome. good catch.
