So let me get this straight....
the "Gang of Six" proposes 1.5 trillion dollars in tax cuts....to cut debt? Cutting spending and then cutting revenue won't speed the process of debt reduction. Cutting defense spending and increase taxes on the rich and corporations will drastically speed the process of debt reduction. The crisis isn't solved. The fact that they're including another huge package of tax cuts will offset the cuts in spending, and we'll still have a debt problem in the future. That's just my take on this. Correct me if I'm wrong.

7. I always feared this would be the deal they struck. The deal for eternal debt.
So sooner than later they can get Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

8. We've been on this merry-go-round before
but today I have watched some television and saw and heard at least 3 Republican house members rant and rave against Pres. Obama more than they ever have. I know spit must have been coming out of their mouths. They were beyond rude. I don't know if they have seen the writing on the wall or they are going to try to be winner take all. Frankly it was frightening. We just may have another civil war.

9. It's not about the deficit
It has never been about the deficit. It's about ramming an agenda through Washington D.C.

An agenda that will benefit corporations, millionaires and billionaires while hurting the poor and middle class.

I can't believe that people don't see what's happening. I'm sure we will have people defending this before the night is through.
