How will all of these corporate income tax loopholes get closed when not one of the
Republicans will even agree to close the tiny little one for corporate jets?

Kent Conrad was just interviewed by O'Donnell, and was blathering on about this great "Gang of Six" plan, in which tax rates would be reduced by "broadening the base" and eliminating a whole bunch of loopholes with regards to the corporate tax rate.

In what universe will there be any Republicans willing to eliminate any of these corporate loopholes that have been used for so many years to help reduce their overall tax burden?

2. When Dems show up at the polls and vote a majority into the
Congress instead of sitting back and throwing a collective tantrum.

3. Don't worry. I will not vote for Obama but I will make sure my
progressive congressman is elected. As a matter of fact, I called his office this morning to express my support. And the person who answered the phone really appreciated. I told her how unhappy I am with Obama right now.

6. I can only vote for one representative at a time, which I happily did
last fall, and that helped him beat back the tea-bagger challenger. You should know him well, as he's your Congressman too.

4. Corporate jets isn't a "tiny" loophole - look how many business jets go to resort destinations
Without that loophole, they'd all have to go through the TSA molestathon. That's a *very important* loophole.

5. They are taking it out of the middle class write offs
They aren't eliminating, but would cut deductions for 401K plans, mortgage interest, children, etc. The gang of six is claiming that they are cutting taxes by $1.5 trillion net, so I don't know where the media or the House Republicans get a tax raise out of it. Looks like part of a sneaky plan to sell this monster.

I can't find any warnings on MSNBC or Olberman. They are all too excited about Rupert Murdoch.

By the way, out of the cuts, they go to the top. The current lowest rate is 10%. The gang of six would cut it to 8% to 12%, or an average of 10%. No cut at all.
