Poll question: Remember when Senate Democrats DIDN'T vote to change filibuster rules? What did they get for that? |
|
Supposedly the GOP made some promises in exchange for the Democrats not doing away with it, and now Obama can't appoint Elizabeth Warren and the GOP is holding the debt ceiling hostage. It could be just me, but it seems like the Democrats got the usual handful of magic beans for their cow on that one.
So did they NOT change the filibuster rules because they are stupid, corrupt, or smart in ways too deep for me to detect?

4. They got to keep the filibuster |
|
It will be useful in a year and a half. Odds are pretty good that Republicans will control the Senate then.
