Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder approval ratings rise slightly; Sen. Debbie Stabenow down
Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 08:03 PM by alp227
Michigan voters are expressing slightly better opinions of Gov. Rick Snyder and are thinking less well of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, but neither is a real crowd favorite at the moment, according to the results of a poll released this morning.

Forty-one percent of voters have a favorable opinion of Snyder, compared to 40% who view him unfavorably, according to the poll of 600 likely voters by EPIC-MRA of Lansing. That was slightly better than the 38% favorable-42% unfavorable numbers when EPIC last surveyed.

Snyder’s job approval was also slightly improved, with 34% calling it excellent or pretty good, and 57% fair or poor. Those figures were 27% positive-60% negative in May.

Stabenow was viewed favorably by 47% of voters, with 35% viewing her unfavorably. Her job approval numbers were 38% positive/51% negative. Although faring better than Snyder, Stabenow fell slightly by both measures from the May EPIC poll.
