I don't think Loughner was planning on being alive and in custody today?
I am no doctor or police investigator but this sure sounds a lot like he was posting a "suicide note", on his MySpace page. Doesn't it? I am sure glad his gun jammed and he couldn't follow through if that was the plan. Hopefully we can get some info out of this fellow.

>>>Just hours before he embarked on the shooting, he posted a message on his MySpace page saying: "Goodbye friends. Dear friends, please don't be mad at me." He also posted a YouTube video of written slides called My Final Thoughts. In it, he wrote: "Jared Loughner is in need of sleep."<<<

3. Others have said death by cop was his goal, and can certainly see that
I was surprised he did not shoot himself

5. He had his gun taken away from him...by a woman.
He was also tackled and held down by witnesses at the scene, one of whom was shot. Probably why he's still alive.

8. What I have heard is that a wounded woman interfered with his reloading
and then two guy took him down. According to some posts yesterday one of the men was armed but did not draw his weapon, not sure how true that is.

6. Flipping thru the channels yesterday,
I heard one network (don't remember which) talking about a "suicide" note found on Loughner. Apparently, a question about a note was asked in the sheriff's new conference. Has anyone else heard about this?
