Bill Clinton Would Declare The Debt Limit Illegal

Bill Clinton Would Declare The Debt Limit Illegal

Former President Bill Clinton waded into the debt ceiling negotiations Monday, saying if he were still in office he would raise the debt ceiling unilaterally, “without hesitation, and force the courts to stop me."

In an interview with The National Memo, Clinton said he believes the limit violates the 14th Amendment.

"I think the Constitution is clear and I think this idea that the Congress gets to vote twice on whether to pay for it has appropriated is crazy," he said.

The White House and the Treasury Department have all-but-ruled out the option, saying they believe the only way for the debt limit to be raised is if Congress acts.

2. Hey, Bill, remember NAFTA? I would have vetoed it if I were the President. Hey, this game of pretend
is fun.
It's called "If I were the President today!!"

Guess what other bill I would have vetoed?
DOMA.
Yup, that was a real flaming turd of a bill, too.

And you know that stupid-ass bill that Phil Gramm wrote, repealing Glass-Steagall, for that particular bill I would have held a press conference in the oval office in the White House and had it televised on teevee and then I would have lit that bill on fire, and then I would have called Senator Gramm a stupid pig fucking idiot for writing it to begin with!!

Of course, playing pretend games like, "If I were the President today" isn't as much fun if you know assklowns that have actually been the President didn't do then, when they were in office, what they say they would do now if they were in office.

3. this will help O
If O has to do it.

All the same, he is probably hoping Hillary challenges O for the primary so he can go right back to being president, and killing then left. Contrary to what Jane hamsher may say, we all know who got the train rolling for the death of the left.
