Hi-Speed Rail: Walker is now for what he was for before he was against it
http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/118842999.html

Why the change of heart? Well, according to Walker folks it isn't, he is still for what he was for before he was against it.

It's hard not to notice that now the plan can't be called part of Obama's stimulus package. Having succeeded last fall in serving up his opposition to his confrontation seeking teahadist seeking to reject all things Obama, Walker is now ready to apply for money made available by Florida's and Ohio's and his own rejection of high-speed rail.

Convoluted? Well, yes, but it is expected that actual twists and turns will be removed during track upgrades between Milwaukee and Chicago.

2. He held back jobs from the unemployed so President Obama didn't get any credit?
Wonder how many of those unemployed people lost their homes because of this asshole?

These types don't do anything unless there is personal gain for them or their buddies.

5. Tommy Thompson is looking to run for the senate...
as Governor, this link between Milwaukee and Chicago was one of his regularly promoted dreams.

Strangely enough, there is also a sudden interest in Milwaukee to put street cars back into downtown...it seems that part of the criteria the high speed rail application will be graded upon is whether it links up to urban rail. The just announced plan for street cars would put in service between the Milwaukee rail station and through the east side of Milwaukee.

Mayor Tom Barrett (D, former congressman, and gubinatorial candidate) backs the application for the link to Chicago and the many multimillion dollar project to provide MIlwaukee with electric street car service.
