Tell them you are a voting American who wants the debt ceiling raised without conditions, and refuses to fund, campaign for, or vote for any candidate who agrees to cuts to SS, Medicare, and Medicaid.

13. I just talked to a Durbin aid, to tell him how upset I (and myriad other dems) am about this.

he told me that Durbin is NOT in favor of cuts to medicare/SS, and that I should google cut/cap/balance/Durbin for his position on this

I said the widespread impression of most people is that he's part of the gang of Six's solution, which includes these cuts, as well as those to medicaid

he said it's wrong, and that Durbin is assuredly not in foavor of this. I axed him if there's anything on his website about it. he said no, and to google the above

I also wondered if there's much call volume on this:

stance:

I heard Durbin myself say that entitlements were on the table and cuts would have to be made that would make those on the left unhappy. It was shocking when it first occured becasue many here though Durbin was on the Peoples side. :( I don't even recognize the man anymore.
