Bernie is on his way to the speak on the
Senate floor Watch live
http://twitter.com/#!/SenatorSanders

just started
talking about the gang of six
stood firm to defend the wealthy
determined and will get 80% of what they want
will be a disaster for low income, elderly, children

Democrats defending SS
SS has been a success in this country
surplus, popular poll after poll
mentioning Obama for saying NO cuts in SS when he ran
Coburn, and gang of six reach agreement with major cuts in ss
it's no minor thing
2012 SS cuts
cuts in education, pell grants may not be there
senior nutrition program, may not there
major cuts in environmental, maybe

increased revenues may come from home mortgage interest deductions
health care program may be taxed
may be IRA, 401K, retirement program, we do not know, no clarity where the revenues are coming from
The American people should become engaged in this

I was not elected to lower the taxes for the richest in the country
Pass a fair and responsible plan, not what we are talking about today

(will try and look for transcript, since I can't type as fast)

6. Sanders for president!
Seriously this Gang of Six proposal is terrible. I know we can't default, but we also can't allow this to pass.

11. That one would really hit the Middle Class big time
The unfortuntely part is that most Americans aren't paying attention to the "fine details". They won't until it's too late. Then they are going to blame Obama and the Democrats. Rightfully so, if they get away with this.
