My predictions for Limbaugh's show tomorrow
  • Rep. Giffords is a conservative

  • Jared Loughner is a liberal

  • Now more than ever, Real Americans™ need to be armed to protect themselves from leftist fanatics

  • Actual guilty parties: Sheriff Dupnik, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama

  • Actual victims: Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh

Close enough?

77. Tune in.
If you have not listened to Limbaugh you will shocked at the number of convoluted justifications he strings together. He is a master manipulator and is personally and single handedly responsible for many of the nation's ills.

I don't think he's the type to discuss his agnosticism or atheism, if that's the case for him.

I was wondering if anyone might know the particulars. It's usually very important to the right.

What did you think it meant? It seems to have riled you.

115. Class and reality rarely intersect these days.
Sometimes class involves just looking the other way. Not always advisable.

Yes, I believe I saw one thread about arrest. Might be more. I don't think that an arrest is even possible. Civil suit? Maybe. But as time goes by it seems less and less likely there is any proof he was motivated by Palin, unless an excellent lawyer has any ideas.

I mean, if the law can elect an American president without the votes of the people of the U.S., I suppose any fucking thing is possible.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=146541&mesg_id=147068

1. Democrats are just as bad (at inciting violence against political opponents).
2. Well, you know…Giffords brought it upon herself, because __(fill in the blank)__.
3. The gunman was actually a loony libr'ul ("Really! We have proof!") or that because he's mentally ill, he was virtually apolitical.
4. This is the result of our having too permissive a society.
5. So, the woman got just a flesh wound. What's the big fuss about?
6. (Akin to #5): We're spending too much time dwelling on this; there are way to many more important things to worry about. Shootings happen all the time.
7. “This is the price we sometimes have to pay for freedom.”
8. We're real Christians, and we're praying for her recovery! Really, we are! (That is, right before we pray for God to smite her.)
9. Oh, but Sarah never had any such thing up on her web site. That's a big hoax ginned up by socialists and other people who hate America.
10. Okay, so Sarah did have it up on her site. Looking at it, I don't see any call for violence.
11. (Some sort of obfuscating speech, peppered with buzzwords like “freedoms” and “democracy”…in order to totally blur the conversation.)
12. Giffords is a conservative Democrat, so this was an attack against conservatives, not lib'ruls. Besides, there were other people in the crowd that weren't Democrats, ergo this was not a political attack.

.. the last twelve hours:

1. Of course, the requisite Loughner is gay in multiple threads and posts.

2. Democrats Plotted to Blame Tea Party for Slaughter
A rescue helicopter lifts off as first responders evacuate victims from a “Congress on Your Corner” event in Tucson, Arizona, where U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) among others were shot and seriously wounded. (Reuters) Democrats plotted to blame the tea party patriots for yesterday’s slaugher in Arizona. A democratic operative admitted this to The Politico. Of course, Politico buried it in their story.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2653919/posts

3. It's a Google conspiracy to blame the TeaBaggers
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2653937/postsv
...edit: even this one was too much for the monkeys to accept, the thread has been pulled. It was bitching about the google drop down, when inputting Loughner, had tea party as the fourth option at the top. Apparently, they know little of algorithms.

4. It's directly the fault of Obama since the shooter passed the Federal Background Check for his gun purchase.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2653933/posts

... many more but since it's best to hold your breath while visiting that toilet, I need some air.

It's much cleaner for Rush to spin it as a disgruntled liberal taking out his anger on a Democratic "moderate" (said with a sneer to imply that there's no such thing because all Democrats are closet liberals.)

Other than that, I'd say your predictions are pretty accurate although I would add "the ordinary people" who are believers in the Tea Party movement.

51. Sheriff Dupnik has been pilloried by a local RW talk radio host for quite some time.
Here's some local press about Dupnik and radio host Jon Justice
(from the Tucson Weekly, by John Schuster on Sat, Jan 8, 2011)

http://www.tucsonweekly.com/TheRange/archives/2011/01/0...

Obviously, there are a million more pressing issues today, but here's an e-mail comment from
KQTH FM 104.1 talk-show host Jon Justice in response to Dupnik's press conference editorializing
about the polarizing role of talk radio.

Recognizing this is probably Dupnik's toughest day, and emotions understandable, Dupnik
has focused on this belief in the past as well, and has singled out Justice, although he probably
includes the likes of Glenn Beck in the mix as well. He editorialized at least twice, maybe
three times, on the topic.

Here's the Justice e-mail response:

I feel incredibly bad for our brave Pima County Sheriff’s Officers who have
to serve under Clarence Dupnik. Within hours of the horrific shooting that took
place at the congresswoman’s event Dupnik was telling local media that talk
radio and the media was partly to blame, only to repeat his statements again
during the press conference that was receiving national attention. We have no
idea at this point the motivation of this murderer’s act. Yet Dupnik took his
moment in the spotlight to drive a political wedge into the event. They were
reckless and dangerous statements made by someone who should have known
better. He should have been using his time to help bring the community together.
Instead his statements made Tucson appear to be a city full hate, bigotry and vitriol.
To say, as Dupnik did, that comments made on the airwaves essentially motivated
this person to commit this crime is exactly what he blamed talk radio of doing,
inciting through pure rhetoric. It was complete misuse of his power and he owes
the media in town, TV and radio, an apology for his horrible comments in the middle
of such a tragic day. He should step down immediately from his position as Pima County Sheriff.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Here are two parts on an interview with local RW talker, Jon Justice, 104.1 FM
There will give you an idea how long Dupnik has been fighting the heat from radio:

cut out the part about talk radio show hosts and some TV program. Take a look again at their coverage. Not one word about "Talk Radio"in the replay of Dupnik's comments...they were cut out.

Since the ramblings of the shooter aren't very clear--sounds like a bit like a libertarian conspiracy theorist with a mental illness-- and any other influences aren't identified, of course they'll blame 'the left'

But the culture of violence belongs most to those who endorse it and that includes the Junkie Pedophile Limbaugh and Palin the walking asshole in high heels and lipstick

I wonder how many people are on the payroll to protect him? He is a spineless pig that will do everything he can to make this look like a "liberal" attack...but the facts speak loudly...the hate spewed by these RW machine have all the hallmarks of demanding open insurrection.

I often wonder why he just doesn't burst into flame for the lies and hate he spews out. He'll even find a "reason" for a 9 year old girl to be coldly murdered.

He should rename his acreage in FL, "Dachau".

63. That's about right. And, their loyal followers are eagerly
awaiting their directions on how to proceed. Lost and without direction because it is the weekend, this message on Sarah Palin's FB page, about sums it up. See the last comment in this screen cap. After the disgusting comment about the child who was killed this weekend:

.

This happened on a Saturday. Our guys are off. The "counterattack" tomorrow will be a devastating "barrage" of irrefutable fact. From Rush and the gang. It will "decimate" the Liberals who have had a free run all weekend.

Yes, waiting for hate radio to get back to business as usual. Rush will give them their talking points and they will feel much, much better.

Not a word about the victims in that post. Six of their fellow citizens were gunned down and a dozen more seriously wounded, and all they can think of is how to blame someone else for what they are guilty of.

As one of the very earliest advocates of killing liberals, Rush Limbaugh has to know his every word is going to be scrutinized by a battalion of lawyers who are representing the families of the deceased and the injured. So...I think he's going to talk about anything and everything except the Tucson Massacre.

112. Someone said that, huh? It's exactly what I knew the righties would come up with.
In fact, I said that to my daughter this morning--they'll claim it's okay because that beautiful girl who had her life ahead of her, who was off to such a great start on the journey thus far, would doubtless have grown up to be a liberal. Reminds me of the Baptist minister whose church I once attended who stated, after the OKC bombing, regarding the kids that were killed that awful day, that God had called them home because they may have grown up to be criminals or unrepentent sinners or who knows what. Only God, I guess, because he saw fit to call them home to his bosom. I'm no longer a Baptist, have stepped away from the whole Christian thing and right now I cannot express the disdain I have for Palin, Limbaugh, and all republicans as well.

I am sick at heart. If God does exist, why the hell doesn't he do something about these people? And I'm in no way recommending their death. That would be too good for them.

Okay, rant over as tears once again come to eyes.

Peace and blessings.

"Thinking only of themselves, Liberals ignore the human tragedy of what this lone leftist gunman did in order to score political points. They're desperate and heartless -- which is why things like this are happening. They'd better change or it could happen again. And if it does happen again, it's blood on their hands! 100. Rush Limbaugh is a master of his trade
Many won't like that general statement, but it's why he gets paid the big bucks. Now bear with me a moment:

What he'll do is walk the razor's edge today between incendiary talk and the kind of repulsive hate speech that loses sponsors. He knows well where that line is, and he never suffers more than a scratch. He crafts his show this way to attract the "MSM" he derides to grant his show the free advertizing that contributes to his success.

I'm sure he'll make at least one comment today that will outrage or insult the majority of America, and we'll hear & see the offensive remarks over and over through the 24 hour news cycle for several days (again). His ratings (and sponsor interest) will expand the next day as people tune in to hear how he expands on the topic. That cam in his studio is not there as part of his radio show. He mounted it to supply the video feed for just such purpose, and the media falls for it every time.

Ann Coulter uses the same technique every time she offers a new book. It's hard to imagine she's smart enough to possess a law degree unless you consider that those idiotic remarks get her face time on every news channel just after releasing a new book that few people would otherwise be interested in.

I'm proud to say I've never listened to Rush Limbaugh's show, but I've also been unable to avoid watching and hearing every vile comment that pukes from his mouth. I'm sure many here can make the same statement. What's more, there's no way to shut off this free exposure he generates, and he knows it.
