Anyone advocating cuts to benefits to the poorest is evil and crazy.
Edited on Wed Jul-20-11 04:21 PM by theophilus
Anyone who defends refusing to raise taxes on the wealthy is morally bankrupt. With Climate Change disruptions, peak oil (or spiking energy prices...choose your poison), and aging infrastructure the noise about our debt/deficit problem is moronic. This crisis is partially made up and the real crises were caused by right-wing fiscal policies aided by some pseudo-democrats. The real problems are already starting to eat our lunch and drink our milkshake. WAKE UP AMERICA! Time is running out.....
All in my opinion, of course. What do you think?

3. The idea that this is even debatable on a site like this is face-palm-worthy.

5. The way things are going...
I'm resigned that I'll be in debtor's prison in a couple years - or a concentration camp. Things are not looking good right now for those of us belonging to the 'unwashed masses'. I hope you guys have had the chance to read Alan Grayson's amazing article. The man has been prolific of late and I mourn his loss in Congress every day:

But it may be harder to see the threat of their sickness than the other goons in the other party who just come at you with clubs.

15. that is the truth. Cf. "Political Ponerology".

From a darwinist perspective, sociopathy/psychopathy is actually an adaptive trait, providing an aberrant individual with survival/selection advantages. In short, even though evil, crazy fucks constitute less than 0.5% of the world's population, they effectively rule the world... right now.

Another way of looking at it: Capitalism is … in a quote attributed to J. M. Keynes... ‘the astonishing belief that the nastiest motives of the nastiest men somehow or other work for the best results in the best of all possible worlds’.
