Do I have this right? Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Let a man get hungry enough,
he can pay a private company to teach him to fish. Oh, and we need to lower taxes on fishing pole manufacturers. They're a big campaign contributor.

Does that just about sum up the situation?

Give a man a fish, and he's fed for the day; teach a man to fish and he's fed for the rest of his life. Teach a man to fish for trout, and he'll starve.

Here all week...

26. But the Invisible Hand of the Free Market will make it all OK.
If people get sick from eating the polluted fish, they stop fishing there, pond goes out of business.

In about FORTY YEARS! (it'll take that long for people to make the connection)

In the meantime, the pond owner will have grabbed the money and run to someplace where he can buy regulated, inspected fish from the EU.

or large amounts of radiation...which is okay, because for a buck fifty the pole manufactures will sell you some iodine pills.
