Wisconsin rocks!
Just spent a long weekend in Wisconsin and had a wonderful time. The passion of the people was just infectious. Right after we crossed the state line we saw this sign on the side of the highway:

I couldn't get pictures of all the RECALL WALKER signs we saw. There were TOO MANY! Here are just a couple:

Bought these buttons in Madison:

Had lunch at Ian's pizza and loved this sign:

Ian's was PACKED. Glad to see such a thriving business for such a worthy establishment. Oh and the pizza was wonderful.

The trash situation was kinda confusing:

And then there was this place:

Seriously, though, what a great state. Sure was glad to wake up this morning and hear the good news about yesterday's election. We saw lots of signs for Hanson in Green Bay and several commercials. So happy for his victory!

4. I had to ask too!
STOP WALKER

And the one with the palm trees refers to the FOX News report about subversives in Madison - the video showed palm trees in the background.

9. After Fox's fake report with the palm trees in the background,
demonstrators started showing up everywhere with inflatable plastic palm trees.

This is an example from Eau Claire:

11. That last pic is actually kind of sad when you think about it.
Oh how far the party of Lincoln has fallen. When did they lose their way? Theodore Roosevelt was very progressive and even as late as Eisenhower the Republicans seemed reasonable.

21. Just drove past that building in Ripon on friday coming
home from the Dells, LOL! We met our kids and grandson there for a few days of water-parking! I hope you swung by Devil's Lake on your way out. It sounds like more your style.

One funny thing we saw in Ripon. Right when we entered the town there was a street to our left virtually lined with yard signs supporting the Repug, Luther Olsen, in the recall election coming up in August. I said to my husband that apparently Ripon was "super-red." But as we rode through town we seemed to see many more in support of the Dem Fred Clark. We were pleasantly surprised. I think the first street must have been rental properties owned by a Olsen supporter. LOL!
