Leaderless Resistance
Yesterday I mused if we were having cells getting activated. Yes, it is speculation on my part, but if the FBI is not asking this they are not doing their jobs.

Leaderless Resistance is one of the hardest kinds of revolts to fight since you do not have a head... you have a bunch of cells. When cells activate they go on, and then they are arrested but with a lack of connection, obvious that is, to others.

Here is a good write up on this kind of system

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaderless_resistance

And it has to be considered given that we have had three explosive devices go off, and one attempted murder.

Oh and even if the FBI and at this point the Secret Service, are considering this, I do not expect them to go public with this. And if this is what is going on... expect more... no less, attacks..

I am telling you that we have an internal terrorist movement, a resistance movement if you will.

What is wrong with people today? Oh yes, emotional... I get it.

6. Ever read the Starfish and the Spider?
From Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Starfish-Spider-Unstoppable-Leaderless-Organizations/dp/1591841836/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1294604835&sr=1-1

Brafman and Beckstrom, a pair of Stanford M.B.A.s who have applied their business know-how to promoting peace and economic development through decentralized networking, offer a breezy and entertaining look at how decentralization is changing many organizations. The title metaphor conveys the core concept: though a starfish and a spider have similar shapes, their internal structure is dramatically different—a decapitated spider inevitably dies, while a starfish can regenerate itself from a single amputated leg. In the same way, decentralized organizations, like the Internet, the Apache Indian tribe and Alcoholics Anonymous, are made up of many smaller units capable of operating, growing and multiplying independently of each other, making it very difficult for a rival force to control or defeat them. Despite familiar examples—eBay, Napster and the Toyota assembly line, for example—there are fresh insights, such as the authors' three techniques for combating a decentralized competitor (drive change in your competitors' ideology, force them to become centralized or decentralize yourself). The authors also analyze one of today's most worrisome "starfish" organizations—al-Qaeda—though that group undermines the authors' point that the power of leaderless groups helps to demonstrate the essential goodness and trustworthiness of human beings. 22. As is your statement.
The OP is suggesting a scenario which warrants attention as well.

Neither you, nor the OP nor anyone else in this forum has any idea of what the evidence is which has been collected, nor all the characters involved, nor the patterns which may or may not exist. This is why the FBI has been put in charge of putting this together (if they can, or if they will).

23. If I had any direct access to the intelligence
stream, to use the technical term I would not be posting on this, or any board.

This speculation though is based on some real world as well as historic experience.

Cells have been used oh like the 20th century at least, from the Red Brigades, to the IRA... to the cartels in Mexico. Yes there is also use of this by the French Resistance during WW II... and the Anarchist movements of the late 19th century. We could even say that even the Founding Fathers used SOME of these techniques for that little soiree called the American Revolution. So to discount this is just dummy,

And no, this is not at you but at ignored...

There are days I wonder about people.

12. You truly believe that all law enforcement is rw don't you?
I know for a fact that this is not the case, but not worth the discussion.

Suffice it to say that INTEL units are MOST LIKELY going down that path... as part of the investigation. In fact, I am willing to bet on more than just likely.

They wil not just come and make it public, but remember that report commissioned by Bush, released by DHS, on RW radicalization?

13. I believe that too many of them are (rw). The leadership and decisionmakers are.
Otherwise they would be calling the RW terrorism exactly what it is.

16. Too many in
the leadership have been right wing. No question about that. And it makes the good people's jobs that much harder. Yet there are very good people in local, state, and national law enforcement.

20. From my own experience:
Of course there are many RWers in LE. But what pushes them is making and successfully prosecuting cases. That's how they get promotions, get noticed for plum assignments and even get noticed for possible political appointments in the future.

The more complicated and widespread the case, the better they look as individuals and the better the agency looks.

mirror of society. Some are ass holes... some are concerned about their job.

Yes they all tend to be type A personalities too.

17. Recommended,
though it doesn't show. That speaks volumes about who is on DU in the past 24 hours, of course.

We need to counter this by serving as our own personal leaders. We need to develop that style of leadership among the grass roots. There is greater power in our force, than their's.

24. A few days ago...
I meant to post that the fact that a few Christian sects are predicting the end of the world on May could lead to some increased acts done by Christian extremists. However, this guy appears to be a hardcore Randian judging from his rantings.

I actually think if we see widespread political violence in the US it will be comparable to Italy's "Years of lead".

26. Been here a while never posted much....
I also see the possibility of false flag attacks. I told a friend I could see right wing extremists ambushing Border Patrol Agents under the guise of Mexican cartel members; in an effort to stir up anti-Mexican/immigrant sentiment. I also see the possibility of lone right-wingers attack organizations like the ACLU and the SPLC.
