(hope that link works!)

My screenname at IMDB is "pegapus." The movie is a Star Trek movie--I think it was done by fans, but it got some press. The OP was from some dingbat who thinks the film was "Bush-bashing." I have not seen the movie, but I attacked the post on the basis of what the OP said, talking about how none of his rights was violated under Bush. Some people would think I have no sense of humor, but as an actual ST:TOS fan in 1966, I suppose I tend to be more sensitive about the Trek universe. Hey, I was part of a Star Trek club for 12 years!

Some of the replies were aimed at the OP, but some of them, especially those near the end, were aimed at me--the last post, dated Wednesday, was from either a hard right Repug, or a Teabagger. Unfortunately, my brain has been fried lately, and would really appreciate someone who likes to duel with idiots to take the helm, so to speak. I'll tell you how bad my brain is: it took 3 times for the idiot calling Obama "zero" for me to realize just who he was talking about.

Anyhow, if anyone is interested, the link is above, but if it doesn't work, let me know. Appreciate it. Thanks.

Update: Thought I would take a few of the idiot's post to show you the working mind of an idiot:

1. You won't be able to convince him. Bits I liked/disliked...
IronShemp has a good comment "The thing that cracks me up is that the OP is admitting (without their knowing it) that deep down inside they feel negative things about Bush and that is why they chose to create the narrative connection between the two. "

Narnhart "Did Bush cause Katrina?". Yes, he did cause the reaction to Katrina, the nonresponse, the slow response, etc. THAT is what we refer to, not the hurricane itself you pinheaded moran. He gutted FEMA, his administration was slow to respond, stating on tv that things were under control while the next shot was of New Orleans convention center where people were begging for food and water.

"Bush, Rove, and Rumsfeld aren't any richer than they were before". Seriously? I mean, SERIES??!?!111

Noahbody is indeed that. A bottom feeding nasty.

If this writer can't convince them, you won't be able to change their little minds

"You know very well what you were trying to convey with the propaganda portion of your so-called "Star Trek" movie."

Seriously - I am one of the writers, and I assure you - that NEVER came into a single discussion. Ben Franklin, yes, GW, NO!

2. Very true
People like that are too far to the hard right to really give a shit about truth and lies, as they know the second one to their core.

I posted on my FB page a post I made on HuffPost which sort of shocked me yesterday, where I got over 3100 shares on FB from HuffPost readers, and over 300 Tweets on Twitter. Among the responses I got from others, one idiot (a friend of a friend, fortunately) saying how he had no friends, and how he was a teabagger. Uh, gee, I wonder WHY he has no friends?? I had been feeling kind of down about not reaching people in some way through my writing, and I was elated with those stats. It gave me a little steamIN to work on my writing again. But the teabagger's comment just made me laugh.

3. I did go over and replied to him
I think DUers will like my post. I wrote:

Dear Noahbody,

I appreciate your desire to engage me in discussion of Bush versus President Obama. However, I think that your teabagger soul and my liberal soul will simply have to sit on different sides of the fence through eternity.

Your viewpoints are duly noted, however, and while I would like to file them away in the proper place, paper is a little bit hard on the delicate surface of my ass.
