8. +1
Cenk at 9pm after Keith would be PERFECT. Not so good for Rachel - but it's time we throw our support behind Current TV and away from M$NBC. Hopefully Rachel can move over to Current when her contract is up as well.

13. I would rather see another "Aaron Brown Reports" and a Dan Rather hosted program.
And they could get Bob Franken as a reporter that would act as their White House correspondent, just like he used to be before CNN canned him for telling the truth about Bush!!

Current TV needs some "correspondents" in the field, like a reporter stationed in LA, get another stationed in New York, have one in Dallas, one in Denver, get one to be a Washington reporter that covers the White House, and then another one for Capital Hill.

I can't believe they aren't hiring dozens of reporters to be correspondents for Current TV.
There's got to be 1000's of people out there willing to get a chance to report on tv for Keith.
Hell, Keith could edit their material, but we also need reporters to get other info.

Because we aren't getting the truth about the damage caused by the Mississippi flood, the crappy levee system in New Orleans, the rebuilding of New Orleans, or anything about the oil spill in the Gulf Coast that happened just last April. We don't even hear about the bombing of Libya at all because the news about it is literally blacked out here in America. And we need to find out more about the nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan.
Nobody is talking about any of that stuff.

They could get a legal correspondent, someone like John Dean, who could be featured once a week or so, giving his opinion of how fucked up some of the rulings coming out of the Roberts Supreme Court are, and their potential impact on us.
Or get that red-bearded Professor from Georgetown (I forget his name), the one that MSNBC always used to have on. He was excellent.
Once in awhile let Jonathan Turley show up to give his 2 cents, too. Why not?
Hell, let Spitzer come on to give his legal opinions of what is going on.
He's fresh out of a job, too.

We know what it takes to make a news network.
We're news junkies!
We've been watching corporate news programs for 50 fucking years of our lives.
We know they suck now because we used to have actual news programs on the teevee in this damned country!!

I can't believe that Gore is taking so long to get this shit started.
This is where the real meat of the matter is, where the rubber hits the road.
Fuck, I'd work 50+ hours a week for Keith at half pay if he would let me, but I'm not a journalist.
I didn't go to college to get a journalism degree.
But, I know what news is!!!

I have a friend who got a journalism degree, and she couldn't get a job reporting to save her soul, let alone a damn weather girl job in this state.
There's also a guy I know from Ohio who has a journalism degree, and he posts on another forum. And he does a better job of reporting what the situation is there in Ohio on his blog than what the national news coverage has been!!!

There's literally 100s and 1000s of journalists, and college-educated wannabe journalists out there, just waiting, chomping at the bit, to work for someone like Current TV.
I don't see what the holdup is.
Ratings are going to suck for the first 6 months for any show they put on, unless the program has naked Playboy models playing volleyball on it, or something like that.
But, reality has hit the ceiling, literally!!!

The tv smells like shit!!!

The only thing worth watching now is Keith, and those few people you mentioned on MSNBC, and the rest of it -- all 230 channels -- are just shit!!!!

5. I hope he goes to Current. It is just starting, maybe it will
become a huge success and Cenk could be in on the ground floor, free to tell the truth without any interference.

23. I think Current TV should try and get Cenk, and go with the Young Turks
thing. Maybe add Sam Seder, John Fugelsang, Hal Sparks in a rotation like Stephenie Miller has going.
They don't always have to agree, but should stay away from all the milk-toast crap. Thats why they are the Young Turks. I think the idea would sell big.

15. Please help!
I have been bugging Current since before the show debuted to have a podcast of the show.

I have no TV connection. My only exposure to Current is on the web and they only offer three snippets. Please help by going to http://foknewschannel.com/ and leave a message or if you Tweet or Facebook, leave something there asking for a podcast.

Thanks!

I got this link from another poster on DU yesterday (sorry I forget who, but thanks again) and enjoyed the new Countdown for the first time yesterday.

I agree that a podcast would be nice.

http://www.msnbclive.eu/

Click on the "Current TV" link at the top right of the screen. They only show Keith so before and after it'll be on MSNBC.

That is going to be must-see-TV!

I'll definitely make sure to watch tonight.

I actually think as Keith's show progresses, it is getting better and better with each episode. I also really liked when David Shuster hosted.

So glad that Keith is back! I don't watch MSNBC at all anymore.

28. Oh Boy a Group Trashing of MSNBC
I'll pass...as one who worked in broadcasting, this shit happens all the time.
Never a dull moment, people come, people go.
It's never a good idea to burn a bridge if you plan or want to stay in broadcasting.
The choices just aren't there anymore considering 5 or 6 companies own it all.

I like MSNBC's evening programming
