Applications for U.S. jobless benefits rise
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/applications-for-us-jobless-benefits-rise-2011-07-21

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — New applications for U.S. unemployment benefits rose last week in yet another sign that companies remain reluctant to hire, government data showed.

Initial claims for state benefits climbed by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 418,000 in the week ended July 16, the Labor Department said Thursday. The latest figures include 1,750 state workers in Minnesota who filed for temporary benefits during a brief government shutdown that has now ended.

1. Don't worry. We'll cut taxes, spending on the public, and consider
cutting ss and medicare. In a few more decades, I'm sure the pixie dust will work its magic.

3. it's ok, we'll give the billionaires a tax break on their jets and they'll trickle
some money down on us.

Maybe some of those newly fired people can get jobs polishing the gold fixtures on the toilets of said jets

4. Yet most of what's being discussed are Austerity measures
to reduce the deficit, similar to the Austerity measures put in place in Europe that have only made the unemployment situation there worse. Of course, there are winners in that, the financiers who helped cause most of the problems in the first place.

6. I believe the euro zone has close to 9.9 % unemployment.
I can see that getting worse.
