$16 TRILLION to banksters - Bush's Tax Cuts extended - NOW we must CUT Medicaid/Medicare/SS

...because why? it's all a phony crisis and this bogus deal Obama is pushing down our throats is going to put us into a generations-long Depression. Are we unable to see the DIRECT relation of these events? Our elected representatives are helping the banks fleece us clean.

This is OBAMA'S deal. This is HIS plan. Maybe sorta kinda someone might suggest revenue increases down the road...and he's calling a WIN, as if he got he what he wanted. Holy shite.

Obama Presses Dem Leaders to Accept Boehner's Big Deal With NO REVENUE INCREASES

A Congressional aide briefed on ongoing negotiations between House Speaker John Boehner and President Obama says the two principals may be nearing a "grand bargain" on to raise the debt limit which would contain large, set-in-stone spending cuts but only the possibility of future revenue increases.

"All cuts," the aide said. "Maybe revenues some time in the future."

The status of negotiations has Democratic aides on both sides of the Capitol nervous and unhappy. And the notion that the impasse over the debt limit may be nearing an end is sparking denials from both the White House and Boehner's office -- in part, perhaps, because neither side has buy-in from their parties on a consensus plan.

(SNIP)

However two aides and a third source, close to the principals confirmed that Obama has been emphatic with Democratic negotiators that his preference is to negotiate a big deal with Boehner and squeeze it through Congress.

1. Kicked and Recced and Bookmarked!
Thank you, Nashville Brooke! The banksters may think they own the system, but they don't own the People. And they certainly don't own the Truth.

4. The Koch Brothers use the tax cut extensions Obama & DEMS awarded them to fund the Tea Party.
A perfect example of the brilliant "strategy" employed by our clear-eyed, adult centrists.

I expect more of it, not less.

31. Sad but true.
And yet the DLC is funded by them too.

All reflects quite well on accuracy of the Harry F Sinclair/Dorothy Thompson conversation I have recorded in my journal, item number 2. (Sinclair is in some history books for his part in the Teapot Dome Scandal.

"The more things change, the more they remain the same."

No deal. Default under a Dem president. A nightmare. But it will definitely be a SHARED sacrifice.

22. you go after one measly dollar from a robber baron and they're at DEFCON 1
but define "shared sacrifice" as between you and your grandparents and your children, and somehow that's a-okay. it doesn't matter how loud we scream -- there's no one out there in DC to hear us.

34. uh, the thing is, Obama was supposed to be the remedy to the actions of Bush.
But he has not been the remedy at all. He has been the Corporate Darling of all the following:

1) The Bankers and the Biggest Financial Players, for whom he allowed the Paulson/Bernanke/Geithner trillions in giveaways to go about unmentioned. And what you don't acknowledge, apparently you don't remedy.

When he starts mentioning the above mis-management of our Federal Reserve and our Treasury, then he can start scoring points about being a remedy.

2) He is clearly also the Darling of the MIC. His appointments of Gates, who is a shill for armament's budgets trillions of dollars above what our nation can afford - why did Obama make that appointment? Same with Hillary Clinton.

3) His alliance with Monsanto, through appointments of Mike Taylor and Valsick. The future famines of the American people are at hand. Fusarium-contaminated GM wheat, GM rice and GM corn- all of it altered through Monsanto's patented technology assure us that the fungal and mold contamination will go unabated into the future. It is already said that it is nigh impossible to obtain any organic rice or corn., And wheat is probably in the same situation. (Unless you grow your own.)

Of course, Michelle will easily be able to afford to feed the family amaranth and millet. but most of us can't afford amaranth any more. ($ 8 a pound.)

4) His alliance with Big Pharma and Big Insurers rather than with American people, as far as the Health Care "Reform" efforts.
