6. It means the poster has chosen to hide their profile.
When you look at the top of someone's post, you'll see several icons: (from left to right) a journal icon (looks like a diary cover), the PM icon (looks like a letter-size mailing envelope), the profile icon (looks like a rolodex card), the buddy icon (with a green + sign), and the ignore icon (with a red x).

When someone has disabled their profile, you won't see the rolodex card icon.

You will see the rolodex icon at the top of this post. Feel free to click on it, it is my profile. :)

7. This is why I like the Ask the Administrators forum.
A place which is very enlightening for so many reasons, not the least of which is that it lets you know where the Admins are coming from. And they can also help with technical questions.
