Loyalty, Reality, Activism, Realism... And The Things That One Dare Not Mention...
Somebody here, no names, no links... asked me, in response to a post of mine...

Paraphrasing... are you unemployed, retired, or just rich...

I laughed for the next several minutes, because no...

I happen to be in the middle of a system in my state that makes sure the unemployed get paid. Can't say much more than that, except that our work load has tripled since I started, we've been furloughed, we've been threatened with minimum wage, we've taken a 15% pay reduction, we've .... well you know. We're the new "Lucky Ones".

And many of the documents come with personal notes from beneficiaries/recipients. Some are cruel and threatening, some come with suspicious substances, but many more of them come with thanks, prayers, even business cards.

And then some come from a copy machine, when the person has run out, and thinks they can slip it though without being noticed.

People out there are desperate. They are suffering mightily.

And the thing we don't really want to talk about... is that there are many Democrats/Progressive/Liberals/Leftist who are NOT in that position... for whatever reason.

DOES NOT MATTER why they decide to... stay less motivated... it's just that telling them to STFU and VOTE DEMOCRAT... really isn't going to work. And BTW... one's franchise is private. You will never know how, if, or why they voted, if they don't choose to tell you.

Just a thought.

3. Congrats. You ARE one of the lucky ones.
Most of us haven't been nearly so fortunate as to have anything even remotely close to reliable work. I sure as hell haven't. Of course, many of us also know that it's not a solution to pitch a fit, blame the guy who's trying to fix things, and throw control back to the assholes who created the problem in the first place.
