Why would Obama think that any sane person would negotiate with Republicans?
Edited on Fri Jul-22-11 04:27 PM by Cyrano
I may as well be asking why anyone would get in a bed filled with snakes.

Is there any Democratic principal that Obama won’t give away? He’s in the process of selling the soul of the Democratic Party -- Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.

But these days, the issue always comes down to: “Who would you rather see in the White House? Obama, or Bachmann?”

Someone really needs to explain the difference to me. Bachmann is mentally deranged. And Obama is just the latest political hack to sell us out. Does it really matter who shoves that knife in your back?

So, fire away, DUers who still defend Obama. I have no idea what it is you’re defending. Maybe you can share it with those of us who have given up on him.

Many people believe that if we “primary” him, we’re finished. I believe we’re finished if we don’t. (And please don’t throw polls at me. The election is a year and four months away.)

But please, please, address how you feel about being sold out on Social Security and Medicare. Those programs are at the heart of what we're suppossed to be about.

5. You mean..The United States of America team?
Because, while we may not agree with our fellow country-men,

they are still our country-men....

Or did we forget that along the way?

10. Is there any limit to the bullshit you'll swallow ?
Only the craziest of Bushler's 20% stormtroopers want these programs gutted. The same demographics also want to kill me along with people who depend on Medicare and Social Security. I'm supposed to praise Obama for wanting to meet them halfway on this shit?

13. No but you should expect that the President of the United States
meets and talks with the ELECTED officials from all 50 states..

And that includes the asshat republicans.

8. WOW... just...wow
I hope you enjoyed making fun of the fact that a child was raised without his father...

DO you find that subject funny? Do you find it witty to point that out? Or ar you insinuating that because he has "daddy issues" he isn't sane???

You must be so lucky to be so well adjusted.. Hopefully someday ALL children over the world won't face abandonment by a PARENT.

But until that day, it's obviously something to quip about.

11. He's not working for us.
That's why.

He's not caving, he's pretending to resist for a while before doing what he's always intended.

12. Sadly, SCOTUS hangs in the balance
If they turn any more right than they are today, they will need to rename us the Fascist States of Corporations
