9. We have a winner! *ding*ding*
The Teabaggers are the ones holding this deal up, and they seem to be willing to take the country down.

25. The baggers in the House are there through 2012
...and Boehner doesn't have a majority without them, either in the House to pass legislation or in his own party to stay Speaker.

20. Yeah, I actually think
Boehner would love to have taken the deal. The tea partiers in his caucus won't let him. SOMETHING better happen this weekend or the market's gonna tank Monday. Maybe that'll scare some sense into these nutjobs.

I've been hard on the President's handling of this, but this is not good. They've GOT to get a deal. And I agree with his stance that any deal they come to needs to at least address this until after the next election. Ya think this is messy now, imagine if they were dealing with this nine months to a year from now.

Can the Republicans say Yes to anything? I'm thinkin' no.

My only explanation is that the GOP has a pathologically driven drive to destroy Obama's presidency, even if that means destroying the country itself.

And what makes Obama think Pelosi and Reid will craft something better, if Boehner has already shown that he has the gigantic balls to say "fuck you" to POTUS himself?

Right now Obama is speaking about bipartisanship...that train left the station a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.

ON EDIT: Boehner didn't return White House calls today! What a classless, sancitmonious piece of shit. At least have SOME respect for the office, if you can't muster the respect for the man.

12. Separate issue- the point is the Repugs have made it clear they WILL destroy our fucking country.
I am a critic of President Obama's right-leaning policies. But make no doubt about it: I can tell the difference between someone who's working to destroy social programs in America and someone who is trying to destroy America, period.

17. Its a difference between sucks and sucks more
Im not sure theres a great deal of separation there.

I've always said the economic crisis wont be resolved until the wealthy hurt like the poor have been hurting, so maybe this is the road we need to take?

23. When the US gets hit with credit downgrades etc., Pukes will just say We Told You SO!
Edited on Fri Jul-22-11 05:35 PM by kenny blankenship
They are banking on few people following the daily ins and outs of the negotiations. In that respect they probably are on solid ground. Most people do not want to follow this stuff. Pukes welcome chaos and confusion as the best environment for their style of politics by defamation and scapegoating.

They will say, "We'll have Hell to pay for Obama's librul democrat soshulist kenyan muslim profligate spending, like we always warned about, and now the bill is coming due. We tried to get President Obama to be reasonable but he quoted Marx and Jomo Kenyatta and the Koran back at us. He slammed his fist on the table and demanded the first born children of every family making more than 50,000 a year. We thought it would be expedient politically perhaps to give in to his insane demands; but for the sake of America's future generations of unborn taxpayers and achievers, we resolved to decline his offers to cut Democratic social welfare programs."
