let's face it folks.
the republicans took a vow when obama was elected to go against every thing he proposed.

i still say there's racism involved. not on the part of all republicans, but many can't stand the fact that a black man is in the white house. they also can't stand the fact that he's smarter than a bunch of them put together.

5. They've been consistent, and we haven't been:
They tried to stop the vote in every state they could. They had their justice try to screw up the oath of office. They called him a one-termer from Day One. They fought to make sure his majority in congress and the senate wasn't clear.

The saddled him with Bush's debt and called it his. They left him with TARP, war contracts and legal obligations from crap they started. They starved off all avenues and fought and coopted every green and social initiative he ran on. They have said consistently their main goal is to prevent his second term.

The GOP owned media has brainwashed all the people in the country to give them electoral victory in 2010, and their media and RW trolling on the internet, their repeatedly disrupted and terrorizing of all opposing voices, from guns to spamming, have been rubber stamped by their judiciary and governors.

They have shut down funding for everything that Obama tried to protect to help the poor and others. They have him in a corner, they must be laughing their heads off at all Democrats who have bought into their storyline. And they won't stop until he's gone.

And even then, they won't stop destroying this country. They now have got Democrats to the point they are ready to vote GOP to save some small measure of anything. And the media has cheered them all the way.

We'll see what happens this weekend. I don't believe in miracles, though, and there is no one to save us as we eat our own.

6. The saying is true
There are a lot of republicans who are not racist. But every racist is DEFINITELY a republican.

7. And I think this has made that fact apparent to the American people.
Even to some ordinary Repubs out there who depend on their SS checks.

8. It's always been the racist party that it is. They foam at the mouth just thinking about Obama
being the President. Everything they do stems from their hatred of African Americans and the poor.

That still doesn't make what Obama is trying to do, the right thing. A Democrat cutting the Big 3 is disgusting and will destroy what's left of the Democratic Party. If he succeeds in getting his cuts to Medicare, SS and Medicaid...he will NOT be reelected and the Democratic Party will be dead. Those 3 programs ARE the Democratic Party. Senior citizens vote and they vote in DROVES. He's cutting off his nose to spite his face. Pretty damn stupid, IMCPO.

13. It was proven just now, Obama offered MORE then the GOP asked
for and they TURNED IT DOWN...why? Why didn't they take his even better offer if in their supposed view what they offered by THEM was good enough? He offered something BETTER to their side and they said no, because he is a Dem? No. I don't think so.

I think he is using their stupid racism against them...it worked this time, we The People just avoided the axe. All cause Repukes are racist assholes.

Thank you GOP for being the ugly fuckwads that you are!

14. Agree. And I think that people who didn't even think they
had a racist bone in their bodies found out otherwise. I think the Birthers are a good example. Convinced themselves they were sincerely concerned because he might not be an American. Much more palatable than admitting to yourself you can't stand the idea of a Black man being our Leader.

19. That's another good example of using something to hide your racism
behind, although some of them seem to flaunt it. It's been shocking to me that it seems to have become somewhat ACCEPTABLE to be openly racist! I always knew racism was still widespread (although I didn't realize to what extent), but people were more circumspect in voicing their opinions.

I lived in NC for 7 years and NOBODY ever said anything racist in front of me (liberal from Seattle :7), and I was stunned when people would say "Jack is a BIG racist!". It was an eye opening experience. Not knowing who was or who wasn't, I was able to see what good people these were -- isn't that a dichotomy? Coming back to work from lunch one day I was in the car with three co-workers, the two in the back seat VERY public Christians. Somebody was blocking the driveway and the driver said "move it, N_____". Their heads all snapped to look at me and the driver apologized to ME, but it was just fine with those Christians. :eyes:

I applaud your changing hairdressers. I would have done the same (most of us here would have, I think). Even if you didn't bid her a "fond adieu", I hope she got the message.

21. i was born and raised in queens, ny (anthony
weiner's district). moved to phoenix 22 years ago. it's very right wing here and racist. not many black people here although there's more now than years ago and people don't like the mexicans.

my nieces were born and raised in S.C. they don't have southern accents and they've always had black friends. in fact one guy is like a member of the family.

but never underestimate their hatred of leftleaning ideas. Because they embrace Uncle Toms and Log Cabin repubs, even women if they STFU and go with the program.

To comply with a black man whom they feel is beneath them it just not going to be tolerated.
