the Whitehouse resoldution. get your Senator to sign on:
This just came from the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a great group:

Robin,

We're making progress! Thanks to thousands of calls from PCCC members this week, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) became the 7th senator to support Senator Sheldon Whitehouse's (D-RI) resolution opposing any deal that cuts Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Negotiations are happening this weekend, and we need to show that Senate Democrats won't pass a deal that cuts benefits. Can you call Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer now and tell them to co-sponsor the Sheldon Whitehouse resolution?

Click here for the number and a script.

These calls make a huge difference. A similar effort in the House started off with 2 supporters. After thousands of calls, there are now 80 supporters!

We have the momentum -- but we need Sens. Feinstein and Boxer to support this resolution.

Please call Sens. Feinstein and Boxer today. Ask them to co-sponsor this critical Sheldon Whitehouse resolution.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

-- Stephanie Taylor, Adam Green, Jason Rosenbaum, Michael Snook, and the PCCC team

P.S. If you'd like to reward Senator Whitehouse for his boldness, click here to chip in $3 to his 2012 campaign.
