Irritated/Frustrated Obama has had his fill of Repub intransigence "Can They say yes to anything?"
These talks didn't just fall apart, they exploded, according to President Obama's account that he's offering right now in the White House briefing room.

An obviously irritated and frustrated Obama has finally had his fill of Republican intransigence. "Can they say yes to anything?" Obama asked rhetorically.

"We have now run out of time," Obama declared, as he announced that he had summoned congressional leaders from both parties to the White House for urgent meetings Saturday.

The President also complained that he thought things were still on track for some kind of deal until Speaker Boehner didn't return his phone call this afternoon. "I've been left at the altar now a couple of times," Obama complained to reporters.

2. The only thing they'll give the yeas on is impeachment. They have not changed their intentions.

4. Does it bother anyone else that this President is being treated...
...in such a cavalier, disrespectful fashion? :nuke:

They are not behaving like the 'gentlemen'* they claim to be.:eyes:

Is this going to be the new standard, or are they making a special effort for Obama? :grr:

*I'm using 'gentleman' to refer to both sexes here...there is a code of behavior that goes with being a gent...stuff like courtesy and consideration.

The term 'lady' carries a whole different set of expectations...not bad, just different.
Maybe not as pro-active as the term 'gentleman' implies is what I'm trying to say...

6. Yes! I find it appalling, and I've actually gasped at some of the
things I've heard some of them say. It's disgusting and discouraging that these people behave like that. It's mostly the New Kids on the Block, plus McConnell :7. I think the seasoned folks know how to get along, although their party has become so hateful, maybe they're just now showing their true colors.

But yes, I find it upsetting and sad.

Who are these creeps? They are playing games with our country and treating our president like he's some kind of pool boy. They make me sick. I guess being backed by greedy corporate pigs and racist a-holes gives them the audacity to disrespect and lie about anyone who gets in the way of bulldozing the middle class and democracy. I hope that their blackmail backfires on the arrogant snots. If it doesn't, we can kiss this country good-bye. Why aren't the Democrats yelling about this? This is wrong, wrong, wrong and Obama and the Democrats should stand together and say so with one, very loud voice.

7. According to Nora O'Donnell (MSNBC) Boner was talking to press
Instead of returning Obama's call.

Obviously, Boner knew Obama would have a presser this afternoon and wanted to get his slant in with the reporters before Obama's talk.
